Summer is here and while we might love the sun, sea and sand…unfortunately our hair isn’t such a fan. Thankfully, the experts at Umberto Gianni have come up with a range of products to leave us looking more fabulous than frizzy. First on the list is the Mermaid Hair Volume Mousse.
So, when I saw mermaid in the title, I knew I was instantly going to be a fan – FYI I spent most of my childhood dreaming of being Ariel when I grew up. Now at the age of 29 with a distinct lack of fins this seemed like the next best thing. Using everyone’s favourite go to ingredient, coconut oil, the mousse provides deep moisturisation, nourishment and shine. What’s more there is a UV Filter that creates a layer on the hair to help protect from the damaging effects of the sun, sea and chlorine.
Unlike many products on the high street, the mousse is vegan friendly, paraben free and most importantly tested on hairstylists, not animals, allowing you to enjoy guilt free gorgeous locks.
Using the mousse couldn’t be easier either, simply squirt a ping pong ball size of mousse into your palm, then crunch into damp hair at the roots and take through to the ends if you want all over texture. Finish with an air dry or scrunch dry with a diffuser.
However, while the mousse is super simple to use, sometimes we need a super low maintenance boost. Whether you’re at a festival, on holiday or just running uber late for work… Umberto Gianni has Shower in a Bottle dry shampoo.
This innovative, water-less formulation dissolves and removes styling products and grime in an instant whilst adding instant volume, shine and a just-showered fragrance of Jasmine and Rose. Like the mousse, Shower in a Bottle actually nourishes your hair too, using Rice Starch to absorb excess oils from the hair to freshen and revitalise for a freshly-washed appearance, Vitamin E – antioxidant and Hydrolysed Wheat Protein to create a protective film to add strength and shine. Again, it’s super easy to use, just apply a ping pong ball size of foam into your hands and then using your fingers, scrunch product into your roots until it has disappeared. Add more where needed.
